PTI Provides Free English Classroom for Academy of Finance

(National Times)- A free modern English classroom, built by Post and Telecommunication Joint Stock Insurance Corporation (PTI) and DB Cultural Foundation (Korea), was handed over to Academy of Finance’s board of regents.

On December 6th, at Academy of Finance, Hanoi, PTI and DB Cultural Foundation held handover ceremony multifunctional English classroom to the board of regents.

This room is invested 700 million VND with full of basic equipment to learn foreign languages.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Mr. Kim Kang Wook, Vice President of PTI cum representative for DB foundation expressed his hope that the class will be a regular place for students to improve English skills - opening opportunities to access endless information resources in the world.

The classroom is built on an area of over 60 square meters, designed to be open space for students to study independently but can also be used to organize seminars, group sessions to enhance skills of communication and English discussion for students.

The class has more than 500 advanced English books, focusing on certification programs from basic to advanced such as TOEIC, TOEFL, IELTS ...

Some well-known English novels are also offered to help students not only improve their reading comprehension, but also learn more about famous literary works.

With international standard curricula, students will be provided with opportunities to study and work after graduation at large corporations at home and abroad.

The classroom will be open weekdays and free to serve for students of Academy of Finance.


Many students expressed their interests to use the class with the most modern facilities funded by PTI and DB Foundation.

With 08 new-generation computers connected to the internet, students could access to online English learning programs from around the world.

"In 2018, PTI is expected to cooperate with the DB to award scholarships and complete equipment and provide more books to the class. I hope that, through the program of PTI and DB, the Academy of Finance will have a better teaching and learning environment for their teachers and students", Bui Xuan Thu - General Director PTI emphasized.

This week, PTI and the DB Foundation will also offer scholarships and educational equipment to students of National Economics University, Hanoi and hand over multifunctional English classroom to University of Finance - Marketing, Ho Chi Minh City.
